Hand Forged Authentic Katana
This katana is handmade using Japanese methods to create the perfect sword.
The blade is meticulously hammered into shape in one solid piece with the full tang extending into the handle.
The steel is hardened with heat treatment and oil quenching. Once the blade is formed, it is hand sharpened and polished to a mirror finish.
The blade is made from High Carbon Steel that has been folded on top of itself 13 times for 8192 layers. This evens out the carbon content and creates a beautiful wave pattern on the blade. It has a long Hi (blood groove) on each side.
This allows for a lighter blade and audible feedback when swung. It also balances the sword to achieve optimal performance.
