Hand Forged Authentic Katana
This katana is handmade using Japanese methods to create the perfect sword.
The blade is meticulously hammered into shape in one solid piece with the full tang extending into the handle.
The Kobuse blade structure is forged in two parts with a solid 1095 core and a folded 1095 exterior. This is the same forging technique that was used for WWII Japanese officer katanas.
The steel is hardened with heat treatment and oil quenching. Once the blade is formed, it is hand sharpened and polished to a mirror finish.
