Hand Forged Authentic Nodachi / Odachi
The Nodachi (large/great sword) also known as an Ōdachi (field sword) was used by the samurai of feudal Japan. It is hand forged and hand sharpened using Japanese methods to create the perfect blade. Fully functional and battle ready. Our Nodachi is hand made in our forge and sent directly to you.
The blade is made of 1095 high carbon steel and has been laminated in a Maru style. It has a long Hi (blood groove) on each side. This allows for a lighter blade and audible feedback when swung. It also balances the sword to achieve optimal performance.
The blade is Full Tang and battle ready. It is strong enough to cut through a thick bamboo tree with a single strike yet sharp enough to slice paper. The sword has been hand polished and sharpened which creates a mirror surface.
